According to the report he was found unresponsive in his apartment. The medical team tried their best to save the life of Shane Warne. But they could not save his life.

Warne, the second highest wicket taker in Test cricket, bagged 708. Only Sri Lanka off-spinner Muttiah Muralitharan is in front of him. The right hand batsman had taken 3,154 runs in his Test career.
