The year 2022 is going to be exciting in the cricketing world as we already have a new captain in team India, Virat Kohli resigned his captaincy and Rohit Sharma has taken the charge in T20 and ODI formats and we also waiting for the new captain in the test format of the team India as well. We are also just a couple of weeks away to witness the IPL season and this year we have two new franchisees in the form of Ahmedabad and Lucknow. Well, now ICC has released the full schedule of the upcoming men’s T20 world cup and the same will start later this year. So without making any further delay let’s get into the article to check out the complete schedule of the upcoming ICC men’s World Cup 2022.

In this year, the World Cup T20 will be hosted in Australia and the tournament will start with the match against Sri Lanka versus Namibia and the final will be played on November 16.

Having said that, the hosts and the defending Champions Australia will take on against New Zealand the team they beat last year to become the champions in the T20 format for the first time. West Indies will start their campaign through the qualifying stage (Round 1) and if they qualify then only they can play in the Super 12 stage.

Team India will start their campaign in the upcoming T20 World Cup tournament on October 23 and the team will face the rivals Pakistan in the opening match, and the thrilling game will be played at the Melbourne Cricket Ground.

It is worth mentioning that the tournament will be played in two stages – First round and Super 12. In the first round, West Indies, Sri Lanka, Scotland, Namibia, and four qualifiers will play and four of them will be advanced to the next round and that is called the Super 12. ICC has divided the already qualified teams into two groups – A and B.

That said, India is in Group B along with Pakistan, South Africa, Bangladesh, and two winners of the qualifiers will join the group.
